Founder & Head Coach
David Hall
I am the founder and Head Coach of David Hall Tennis, a Level 5 coach, with over 40 years experience in tennis. In my career I have had various roles at community, club, county and regional level. I worked for the LTA from 1994-2005 with County and Regional positions developing tennis through clubs, schools and local authorities and from 2005-2018 established the tennis programme at Culford School and was instrumental in the building of new indoor courts and developing an international tennis programme.
David Hall Tennis was established in 2019 and now delivers 60 hours of coaching to over 65 customers with a team of 5 coaches. My philosophy is to ensure the lessons are fun at all times whilst giving adults and children the best possible opportunity to improve with a structured approach to every lesson.
My favourite players have been Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal for their 100% commitment and determination but also their sportsmanship. They have both been true role models for others to
follow.
In 2019 I was awarded the Suffolk LTA Lifetime Achievement Award.

Coach
Sam Ratcliffe
I am a qualified LTA coach and have been coaching with the David Hall Tennis programme since its launch in 2019, coaching juniors and adults of all ages and abilities.
I first held a racket aged 4 and continued to compete at County & Regional level as well as during my time at University. My key ethics include learning the game through having fun, creating a positive atmosphere for the children to thrive in as well as building a strong rapport with each player to guide them through each stage in their tennis journey.

My favourite players include Roger Federer my idol, Rafael Nadal for his determination and athleticism as well as Andy Murray for his contributions to British tennis.
Coach
Joe Foulger
I am a level 2 coach that has 10 years of experience coaching in academy, club, school, and university environments. I am extremely versatile in their coaching style, with experience of excelling in the coaching of all ages and skill ranges with my core philosophy being enjoyment of the sport in a relaxed setting.
I have played at a county and briefly national standard growing up, with my playing career peaking at being club captain of the tennis club at my university.
My favourite players are the ones that go out not just to win but to entertain, with a prime example being Nick Kyrgios, who, although controversial, is naturally gifted and very exciting to watch. Being entertaining due to making the sport look so easy is what Andy Murray and Roger Federer did throughout my childhood.
